Yes! Every feature and function you currently see on the site is FREE. Amateur Help is supported solely by advertising. In the future, Amateur Help may add paid Premium Services, but all the features and functions you have currently been enjoying on the Amateur Help site will always remain FREE!

How Do I Create A Profile?
To create your profile, visit http://www.amateurhelp.com/signup

How Do I Add Information To My Profile?

• First, make sure that you are logged in to your account.
• Then, select the My Account tab in the green navigation bar.
• From here, select the Settings tab in the white navigation bar.
• Then select the blue, Profile Settings link.
• Here you can fill in information about yourself such as what you have to offer and what you need.
• When you are finished filling out your profile, click the blue, Save Profile Settings button at the bottom of the screen.

How Can I Maximize My Profile's Exposure On AmateurHelp.com?
In order for you to recieve the maximum amount of exposure and business on Amateur Help, make sure that you fill out as much of your personal profile as you can. Use as many terms that describe your skills, products, and/or business that you can think of so that someone using the search feature can find your profile. Remember, what you call babysitting, someone else might call childcare and may not search for the words that you have used to describe what you do. Also, be sure to use full sentences and proper grammar to ensure trust in your potential clients. Also, join as many groups as you can that fit what you offer. If there isn't a group that fits you, feel free to create one!

How Do I Use The Search Area?
The search area allows you to search for other members of the Amateur Help community. You may use the search feature

• to look for other Amateur Help members' services, products, or skills
• to find members who need the services, products, or skills that you are offering
• to find and connect with people you already know in real-life
• to network with people who share the same hobbies, interests, and skills that you have.

Just go to the search area and enter a location, skill, hobby, product, or any other search term you desire and click the blue, Search button. The page will reload and the members that meet your search criteria will appear.

How Do I Find Other Members?
To find other members' profiles, visit http://www.amateurhelp.com/browse

From here, you may search by any or all of the following categories; location, state, city, zip code, age, gender, or keyword. The keyword search can search a specific part of a member's profile or by their username.

How Do I Request Other Members To Be A Friend?
To send a friend request to another member;

• Make sure you are logged into your account.
• You may Search for a specific member or browse through all members.
• Once you have found a member that you wish to be friends with in the search area, click on their profile
• Under the profile picture of the user, in the Contact Panel, select "Add to Friends"
• You will then receive a message confirming that your friend request was sent
• The friend request must then be approved by the other member in order for that member to show up as one of your friends
• If the other member denies your friend request, you will not receive a notice, nor will you be friends.

How Do I Set My Profile To Private?

• First, make sure you are logged in.
• Second, click on My Account from the green top navigation bar.
• Then, in the white navigation buttons, click on the Settings tab.
• Within the Settings tab, click on the blue text link called Account Settings
Scroll to the bottom and check the boxes next to Privacy Settings.
• Click the blue, Save Account Settings button.
• Remember, if you are trying to generate business from your profile, only allowing your friends to see it may not be the best way to welcome potential clients

How Do I Change My E-mail Address?

• First, make sure you are logged in.
• Second, click on My Account from the green top navigation bar.
• Then, in the white navigation buttons, click on the Settings tab.
• Within the Settings tab, click on the blue text link called Account Settings.
• From here, you may change your e-mail address.
  When you are finished, click the blue, Save Account Settings button at the bottom of the page.

How Do I Change My Account Password?

• First, make sure you are logged in.
• Second, click on My Account from the green top navigation bar.
• Then, in the white navigation buttons, click on the Settings tab.
• Within the Settings tab, click on the blue text link called Account Settings.
• From here, you may change your account password.
• *Note, you will need to know your old password to change it.
• When you are finished, click the blue, Save Account Settings button at the bottom of the page.

What Do I Do If I Have Lost Or Forgotten My Password?
If you have forgotten or lost your account password, you may send a password request reminder to the Amateur Help system.

• First, go to www.amateurhelp.com
• Below the login box on the right side of the homepage, there is a blue, Lost Your Password link.
• Upon clicking this link, you will be asked for your e-mail address. It is important that you enter the e-mail address which was used to sign up for AmateurHelp.com.
• You will then be sent an e-mail to the address in which you entered.
• *Note, if you have forgotten your sign-up e-mail address, we will not be able to retrieve your account or password.

How Do I Change My Email Notification Settings?

• First, make sure you are logged in.
• Second, click on My Account from the green top navigation bar.
• Then, in the white navigation buttons, click on the Settings tab.
• Within the Settings tab, click on the blue text link called Account Settings.
• Scroll to the bottom and check the boxes next to E-mail Notifications.
• Click the blue, Save Account Settings button.

How Do I Block A User?
While you currently can not block specific users, you may delete them as your friend and alter your privacy settings to set your profile to private. If you would like to report inappropriate behavior on Amateur Help, please contact us or e-mail info@amateurhelp.com.

How Do I Change or Add My Profile Picture?
To change or add a photo as your default profile picture,

• first make sure that you are logged in to your account.
• Then, select the My Account link in the green navigation bar at the top of the screen.
• From here, you can select the blue, Change Picture link below your current profile picture. You may also get to the change picture location by selecting the My Account button in the green navigation bar at the top of the screen, then selecting the Settings tab from the white navigation bar (below the green navigation bar), you may then click the blue Profile Picture link on the page.
• Next, click on the grey, Browse button next to the box on the Profile Picture page.
• Here, you will need to find the photo that you want to use from a file in your computer.
• Select the photo you wish to use and select Open.
  *Note, the photo that is used must be no larger than 600 pixels wide OR long. You will need to use your own photo editing software to resize any photos you wish to use for this site.
• Next, select the blue, Upload Image button.
• To view your updated profile photo, you may select the white, My Page navigation tab.
• *Hint, if your new photo does not display right away, try refreshing your profile page or hit the F5 key on your computer's keyboard.

How Do I Cancel Or Remove A Group That I Have Created?
You may delete a group that you have created but not a group that any other members have created. To delete your group,

• First, make sure that you are logged into your account.
• Once logged in, select the Groups button in the green navigation bar at the top of the screen.
• Next, select the white, My Groups tab in the white navigation bar.
• If you are the moderator of the group, you may click on the blue, Moderator link below the group's photo.
• Clicking this link will bring you to the Edit page for the group.
• Scroll to the bottom of the Edit page and next to the blue, Submit button, is a blue, Cancel This Group link.
• This link will lead you to a confirmation page and upon clicking Yes, the entire group will be deleted and any members will no longer be able to access or be a part of the group.
